@mehul - Oh okay, hope it makes it big, I like Debian :D

@saurabh - I got all real media playing codecs, one managed to play the audio alone, the official one on both windows and Linux said the codec used in the file is old and not supported anymore. Too bad VLC doesn't play it. MPC does the job on Windows.

Well saurabh from what I can make from his post, he's already installed real player. And the linux version of the real player really sucks.
@harsh you checked codecs from mplayer's site? I guess they have some codecs to play rm files too. Maybe those will help.

Nope it won't. Already Ubuntu has pulled in such a huge community under the noses of those two in a short time. And if there's a community out there for it, that community will promote the distro. So, enterprises are likely to accept it. Also, if they make trained professionals available we might see quite a lot of servers migrating from RHL to Ubuntu.
And as I said before OSS industry still has enough room to accomodate about half a dozen more competitors. Maybe no one else will agree to this but this is what I feel.

If they do, I hope the industry accepts it. It might get crushed between RH and N?

Nope Debian is quite good but yeah it fails in asthetic appeal. And it feels a bit outdated unless you use testing repositories. I don't think you have Debain certifications but Ubuntu's prolly coming out with one.
