At first, I didn?t have a clue about why ?Carbon? ?
Underground was well, underground racing and Most Wanted was yeah, Police?s most wanted? but why Carbon?
Apparently it?s related to the map of the game called ?Carbon Canyon?. And I was thinking it was something to do with those ugly Carbon Fiber car bodies and parts available in the recent Need For Speed games.
Anyway, so I downloaded the demo and installed it. Large demo package, around 650 MB, whoa!
And?
Hell, it doesn?t run well, it looks something like this in fact.
And if I race in it, it would be an experience like this video at YouTube most probably.
I don?t think I am gonna buy a new upgrade to my MX 4000 for this game but sigh, it has the drift racing. I guess am gonna install Underground 2 again and play that all over again.
Site – EA Games
For the full game, I don’t know about its official release yet but I did see some near 3.9 GB files hanging around torrent sites.
I feel bad not being able to play this.
Whoa! 3.9 GB? Thatz so insanely large for a ca-racing game! And hold on…therez an Underground 2?? Sh** maan….I gotta upgrade my gaming knowhow….:(

The new age Need For Speed hierarchy is like this…

Racing games SUCK in my opinion. All you get to do is drive around a stupid city looking for races. But I do like the part where the hot chicks come in
Grand Theft Auto ftw!

Circuit and Sprint races suck very bad, its so very boring. Drift, StreetX, Drag, these new modes give life to racing

You know it’s better just to play Underground. Carbon is lame.

naah! The Collectors Edition with bonus DVD boasts almost 6.9GB in size!!

Moreover, Drifting is not what all you have benn expecting so far!
Its rather tough. Took me almost an hour to get along track!
MAximum choice of cars! Graphics really sucks!!
I wasn’t satisfied.
May be my new 5900XT could create the difference. Lets c..
Wait for a complete review…:)

Drift is lame. You just have to drive like a woman, with your brakes and handbrakes on. Drag is the craziest race there! Thats the only thing I love.

@Wengistein – Yeah, installed U2, back to StreetX
@mayank – Saw the 7 one too, but I love drift, its one where I can score like, 3 times or 4 times more than the opponent’s high
@Madhur – MW itself was a great graphical game, this one must be great
@Slim – Lol, its got brakes, the only time I hit them
StreetX is the real test of racing

Tried out the demo on my rig, works really well with vista (surprisingly i know
). Just had to enable windows 98 compatibility mode for the game
Anyway, is it just me or does the drift in this game suck? I mean the handling is all wierd!

I played the demo, and it was sick. I cant play the game cuz I have vista. Drifting is not for grandmas, going around a hairpin turn at 80 mph, is not something grandmas do. I have seen em drag though, those caddies get crazy…
