Stop saying blog
That’s right, cause it seems to initiate a series of reactions in human brains that pushes the nerves out and clearly visible on the temples. Also raises thier blood pressure and makes them explode. Boom.
Okay, on topic, blog’s supposedly the 2nd most hated word on the Internet. Thanks to its cliched usage maybe?
Here’s the 10 most hated words:
- Folksonomy
- Blogosphere
- Blog
- Netiquette
- Blook
- Webinar
- Vlog
- Social Networking
- Cookie
- Wiki
So, The new blogosphere which practices folksonomy with its blogs lack netiquette, publish blooks, conduct webinars, start vlogs, go ‘lol’ on social networking, spoil wikis and have cookies?
Must appreciate myself, I’ve left the “Check my blog now!”, “How’s my blog look now? And now?” dialogues long time back
Google vs. Microsoft
Of course, you must have heard about the recent anti-trust complaint by Google on Microsoft Windows Vista’s search issues, and about the eventual victory of Google in that too. This surely makes things better for us.

First off, its resulted into a much earlier Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1), in which Microsoft had promised to address Google’s worries. Google here isn’t a clear victor, cause to get rid of its issues with Windows Vista’s Desktop Search, its got to face the time till the SP1. But anyway, it’s made Microsoft speed up things, and thats good. Though I don’t expect them to complete it on time, cause they have a sort of affinity towards lawsuits and paying fines. The money has to go somewhere hasn’t it?
Second, this action is a good and a very quick reply to both Microsoft’s request of an anti-trust probe in the Google-DoubleClick deal worth 3.1 million and the as usual lame Steve Ballmer’s words against Google, which also appeared in this Desktop Search case.
And now what have we got? That’s right, dissatisfaction. Way to go Google! I just hope they make Microsoft fix the entire search up, so that the software world can be a more peaceful and easier place, to search in, of course.
AMD stopping fabrication?
Just read this article about the plans AMD has after their defeat by Intel’s Core platform processors, and even real bad in the servers and workstations share.
Advanced Micro Devices‘ move to cut overhead costs by outsourcing its chip manufacturing business may backfire in the long run, according to several analysts who have downgraded the company’s stock.
AMD is struggling it keep its head above water after posting losses of $611 million and $574 million for its past two quarters. The company has also drawn criticism for its manufacturing, with recent reports that it will delay the full-volume launch of the “Barcelona” quad-core Opteron server chip from July to October.
AMD currently has a deal giving it access to IBM’s chip fabrication plant in East Fishkill, New York. Under that arrangement, AMD can perform much of its research and development without having to incur the cost of owning its own manufacturing plant, he said.
“We are again lowering AMD estimates, this time for 2Q07 (we had previously lowered 2H07), reflecting our field checks suggesting current conditions are weak,” Yeung wrote. While Citigroup recognizes that AMD could be moving away from its own manufacturing and that could help the company cut costs, “we remain on hold for the shares given near-term weakness,” he wrote.
This sure is a bad news, but I hope the Barcelona does try getting the market back, and same with Phenom. No personal experience with AMD, however. But it is bad to see a company that’s made it so far, start dropping like this.
And here’s Batman’s new suit!
Click on the image below for a High-Res shot of the entirely new Batman’s suit for the upcoming ‘The Dark Knight’ movie.
Also, a new Bat-Pod was spotted, and it is deadly monstrous in looks! Its Batman’s new bike, and it still has the same reputation his Bat-Mobile gave him as in the first move ‘Batman Begins’. Look!
Terrifying huh? It wouldn’t look so good as it does if it were daytime ![]()
The Shrek Connection
This post is pure crap. Any sense made in this is purely, coincidental.
A little inspiration drawn from the link-back in this post.
Here we go:
- Shrek is fat. Am not.
- Shrek is an ogre. Am more human than that.
- Shrek has a beautiful princess as his wife. I don’t even have a girlfriend.
- Look, I don’t know how much more dissimilarities we have between us but honestly, this post was for the last point.
- Shrek has Donkey, I have .. Jayahari
(Um, Wife Dragon?)
Sensible:
I am not watching Shrek 3 in the theatres this time. Am instead gonna wait for the inevitable VOB or AVI and see it on my soon to come new screen.
I’ll write my views on Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest next, and the next one after that is Ocean’s 13. So far, all the trilogies have turned out to be rather disappointing, I hope Ocean’s 13 isn’t it. But the reviews aren’t tilting in the good way either. Its a bad bad mooded summer with people or its just the bad money minds of the producers this time.
INOX, Chennai is finally starting to show special premiers a day before release (Ocean’s 13 screened Thursday there), and they got celebrities coming there to watch it, sitting along side of you maybe. Nice way to make more money, lets just hope the Citi Center building survives the destruction order.
