Sorry

with 14 comments

This must’ve been my longest break from blogging perhaps, half a month. Am really sorry, but I had just lost interest in doing anything worthwhile online. My feed reader counts the unread at 700+, let’s see how fast I finish that up. :)

So my second year in B.Tech IT has started off (6th July). It’s going pretty good till now. Here are my subjects this semester:

  • Object Oriented Programming (Lab included)
  • Data Structures (Lab included)
  • Mathematics - III
  • Signals and Systems (Lab included)
  • Digital Principles and System Design
  • Principles of Communication

For those interested in reading the contents of my syllabus, you can download it here.

Off these subjects, I didn’t quite like Principles of Communication. And yeah, the order of the subjects I’ve written above is based on most and least favorites ;)
Anyway, now that I feel like putting something up here, you can expect things like features in Gutsy Gibbon (Ubuntu 7.10), some weird cool news and so on ..

  3. Mug? I never mug. Rather can’t. I just sleep through the classes and that’s why I don’t like it much :)

BTW the syllabus sucks. Every university’s syllabus i have checked so far sucks big time except for Rai University. But Rai university is no more….

Come on which moron decides the syllabus? Why would somebody going for CS/IT study Chemistry, Civil eng., smithing etc??

    And principles of communication?? Hopeless….

  6. Digg isn’t as devastating as the mixture of all the top 25 tech blogs put under a single folder. ;)

  8. Heh ! PComm is the subject I’m never gonna learn. I had a peek into the contents when my girlfriend’s book was lying around, and I am making it sure I do not come across it again.

It may be useful for those interested, but what has a Linux guy or someone interested in networking or system admin got to do with that :-L

  10. Wow, principles of Communication. That sounds like Effective Communication subject that we had. It was a fun subject and something worth learning.
And preshit believe me, it’s very very important in Open Source arena too.
IMO, effective communication is needed by anyone and everyone. How will you present yourself and your ideas to others if you can’t communicate effectively.
If you’re lucky you maybe able to do so too, but still the other party will never get the full understanding of your ideas and strategies.

  14. [...] yet but from the syllabus it looks like its just a deep extension of the Signals and Systems I had last semester. Signals was easy last year, but I don’t know how it could be an IT Industry application. But [...]
