Got to be the best movie I’ll ever see this year. Truly amazing CGI!

I hadn’t heard about nor was interested in Transformers until two things happened. First, Karthik shows me this Second, I see this trailer of the movie (During Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix’s break) where an F-22 transforms into a huge killer robot cyber-being over the Hoover dam and that giant scorpion shaped cyber-being which jumps in and out of the sand. Never seen anything like that before for sure.

So I caught the movie finally and caught it in the first day first show (15th, Wednesday release, weird) here at Chennai. Sadly it was not a good theater I watched it in (Sangam Cinemas) but anyway, the movie kicked ass! Watching that Peterbilt 379 truck transform part by part into the Autobots leader Optimus Prime was ultra cool! And the near-final sequence with the F-22 transformer Starscream transforming mid air and smoothly finishing off the helping squardon was just …….. I got no words, damn. It was beautiful!

I didn’t care about the story much cause those metal beasts moving across the screens were just so cool that no one would (Except of course, those who’ve avidly followed the toys, comics, cartoons and such). But overall, it was digestible with these kind of beasts and their history involved. The reverse engineering stuff was a bit too much of a stretch, however.

Well anyway, won’t spoil it more for you in case you haven’t seen it, but its a must to watch and only in theatres for that ultra-cool CGI of Optimus Prime which actually used 10,108 moving parts! And not to mention the other transformers, Scorponok for example! He was a delight to watch, jumping in and out of the sand like a real scorpion would and making good meat out of those poor soldiers. Aw ok, sorry again to spoil it, got lost there.

Am gonna follow the sequel’s news for sure And my favorite transformer from the movie in Decepticons has got to be Scorponok for his cool killing style and in Autobots its Bumblebee cause of his yellows and Camaro 2008(9) transformation. P.s. Did I say Megan Fox was hawt? No? Well, she was!

A perfect 10/10 for the great entertainer it turned out to be.
