Never fiddled with *nix OSes so far? Sometimes they reset your clock back to Epoch (Jan 1 1970) and many sites throw up these errors. We hardly look at the system clock!

Looks like a clock problem to me. Do check your machine’s clock, maybe its stopped due to the battery within or its run wild and gone to the future/past. Reset it back to the right time and you should browse fine!

Its been a long time and all that, but I do hope you may recall my existence in some distant part of your (rather intelligent)brain.
There’s a tiny problem I’m facing(see, a maiden in distress! ). When I try to open gmail or orkut firefox gives me the following error:
Secure Connection Failed

http://www.google.com uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate expired on 5/15/2008 4:48 AM.

(Error code: sec_error_expired_certificate)

* This could be a problem with the server’s configuration, or it could be someone trying to impersonate the server.

* If you have connected to this server successfully in the past, the error may be temporary, and you can try again later.

Or you can add an exception…

Needless to say that doesn’t cheer me up too much.
Plus, when I click on “add an exception” it says the following:You should not add an exception if you are using an internet connection that you do not trust completely or if you are not used to seeing a warning for this server.

Advice needed! Do I recklessly go on ahead or…exercise greater caution? What do I do?
