Didn't it build? Tried Kopete for IM? Why sudo when there's KDEsu? Have you tried any other desktop themes besides the defualt, Oxygen? BTW, reading this from Akregator, it integrates nicely with KDE4 too including your checkboxes :P Also, check the new launcher. yahoooo, another KDE Konvert :P
