Two of my biggest gripes while using Mozilla Firefox were lack of support for Relative Tab-opening (That the new tabs you open from a page must open right next to it, and not at the end of the tab bar) and of Tool-tips not being shown for long.
I’ve just begun using Firefox 3.6 (beta, at this time) and among other things it now has support for proper Relative Tab-Open behavior and Tool-tips now show for as long as you want them.
Hooray for its five years!
Though I desperately wanted it at first, when I open links in a new tab now, my cursor simply moves to the last tab, as it has become a habit now.

I am using Tabmixplus addon to do that. It has lot more options. Really cool addon.
