Percy Jackson. You probably hate that name, after watching its film adaptation.

They got it all wrong, right from his opening scene underwater, his not-so-hyped up origin about being Poseidon’s son, the lack of explanation about the various camps in Camp Half-Blood and so on, till the end of the movie. Every chapter seemed to have been ‘hollywoodized‘. I watch many movies out of curiosity and I don’t feel bad about having watched this.

That is because the books were fun, Rick Riordan is quite a writer of teenage fiction books. I’ve read the first three in his series of Percy Jackson and found them equally enjoyable as the Inkheart Trilogy or The Inheritance Cycle. Right now, having found time and inspiration for revisiting a private library am quite fond of, I’ve laid my hands on the fourth book and its doing great in helping me erase those movie memories.

Results for all odd semesters B.E. and B.Tech (Engineering Degrees, for IT, CSE, ECE, EEE, ME, E&I, etc.) (3rd, 5th, 7th) will be out in the ultimate weeks of December 2009, as most rumors go (Some point around the first week of January 2010~). These are for the exams that were held in Nov to Dec 2009.

Where's Spider-Man?

I’ve watched this for about two months now, hoping to spot my favorite characters, and may I say transformations, in it but am yet to see Spider-Man. What’s the issue here? Spidey is Marvel’s top franchise (Maybe second most today since Iron Man’s claim to movie-fame) and not showing him in their own show just doesn’t make sense to me. Credits for Spider-Man’s voice appears to be the same guy who’s doing Silver Surfer but no screen-time appearance yet.

They’re either saving him for the end, or are skipping him for continuity issues with Spider-Man’s own television feature, or are facing licensing issues with their own character? Heh.
