Finally put in a new theme “The Journalist” by Lucian Marin after months of Blue-K2. This theme was recently featured on WordPress.com and is fantastic at its simplicity and minimalism!

I had to modify a bit of the CSS to help support the switch-over from the colorful Blue-K2 I had here earlier (The colors being those “Download” or “Favorite” boxes you’ve seen around, perhaps.)

Also converted a few images to Grayscale and added them for a little more eye gloss than the default theme had. Hope you like this theme, cause I find it pretty readable and wide.

Post any problems, comments on what you feel is not good and other things if you have the time.

Development’s been slow and the beta test by me turned out to be nightmarish. Yet screen-shots say its not, cause they are just beautiful!

Anyway got this news from the Linux and Open Source Blog at WordPress (Run by E@zyVG) that KDE4′s wallpaper contest result has been announced and the result is this piece of blue beauty:

By the way, do check out the animal-skin wallpapers included in Ubuntu’s Gutsy Gibbon 7.10 flavor. The Kubuntu has a blue Elephant skin bonus while Ubuntu has the brown Elephant skin bundled along.

The only words gonna come out of my mouth for the next 20 minutes are “Holy CRAP! When am I expecting this?! Bye GNOME!”

Since it comes out in December, this has _got_ to be the best Christmas present ever.

And Amarok with that Cover Flow thing and totally revamped interface … This is too much for me right now. I need it, I need it running on my system ASAP!

Just noticed these cool Aero-like blings in the default Compiz-Fusion theme! And of course, like everything else, its way better than what Aero gave us, cause it partially extends out of the window!

Get Compiz-Fusion now, on Ubuntu 7.04! Install it from the disc lying around and follow this! I don’t think you want to see anymore videos of it in action
