There’s this friend of mine whom I told a good configuration to buy a few months ago. He said he got the configuration and it was something like a Pentium D 805 with 512 MB RAM. Now yesterday when I went over to his home for the first time, I find that his ‘new’ PC he got assembled from a local dealer is nothing but junk.

Spooky!?
Spooky enough… I wrote in this post about a hint of burning cell phone batteries (iPhone actually) but this what I heard late now, is far more critical and worse than just the ear though…
VALLEJO, California (AP) — A cell phone apparently ignited in a man’s pocket and started a fire that burned his hotel room and caused severe burns over half his body, fire department officials said.
Luis Picaso, 59, was in stable condition Monday with second- and third-degree burns to his upper body, back, right arm and right leg, Vallejo Fire Department assistant chief Kurt Henke said.
Firefighters arrived at the residential hotel Saturday night to find Picaso lying on the bathroom floor after a malfunctioning cell phone in his pants pocket set fire to his nylon and polyester clothes, Henke said.
The flames spread to a plastic chair, setting off a sprinkler that held the fire in check, he said.
Authorities declined to name the phone’s manufacturer and model.
The fire and water caused $75,000 damage to the room and a business on the ground floor, Henke said.
Whoa, this is serious! Are batteries no longer safe to use? That’s bad to hear, even my dead good PC has one tiny one in it, I must plug it out!
Randomness
I wasted the day at the mall and then trying to break a global 4th wall, unsuccessfully. But I’ll keep trying and do what Deadpool has achieved… Holidays are a bad idea afterall…
Kalpik has this evil (good) thing about him, I don’t know but he somehow manages to make me shift between Linux distros often and now its OpenSUSE 10.2. My poor HDD
So am gonna try the OpenSUSE 10.2. I didn’t like the 10.1 really as I used KDE and YaST was a big bloat in it. Anything that takes more than 1 second or a maximum of 2 seconds puts me off.
But I’ll eventually return to Ubuntu no doubt, because Read the rest of this entry »

Apple released its much awaited iPhone yesterday! And now people are calling each other on their ugly Ericsons and Nokias yelling ‘iPhone!’ and the receiver getting confused up, yelling back ‘YouPhoneWho?’
On with the post, iPhone looks like this:

Looks a neat piece of product totally!
Here are its features:
Out of my hands…
My low performance of marks per paper thanks to my enhanced addiction to this terminal with a keyboard which has only 4 8 15 16 23 and 42 buttons on it.
Also, the Optimus’s release turned out very very sour. First of all, they made the display black and white for now. Second, its price is 1200$ for starters. More costiler than a Core 2 Quad processor.
Also, this theme, though it looks nice, requires to be 2 columned to be good looking for me, and also needs a little CSS tweak for the font colors here. I’ll do that soon. Thanks to Karthik for making the UtomBox into HarshJ above there.
My weekend’s gonna be tight this time, lots of work that remains pending. Aah, feels good to be my own self again
Learning C is tedious as hell, just doesn’t do any justice to me after learning at least 1/12th of Python. I’ll continue Python and dump C after semi-mastering Pointers.
